Why it matters
Your credit report should tell the truth about you
Your credit report affects your mortgage rate, car loan, insurance premiums and even whether you can rent an apartment. Errors are common — wrong balances, accounts that aren't yours, late payments reported incorrectly — and the Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the right to challenge them.
Top Class Credit helps people understand their reports, dispute information that is inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, and build healthier credit habits for the long run.
We work in English and Spanish, and we're used to helping first-time credit builders and ITIN holders. Atendemos en español.
What we review
Items we review and dispute when they're inaccurate
If information is inaccurate, incomplete or can't be verified, you have the right to dispute it. These are the items we most often review with clients.
- Late payments reported incorrectly
- Collections with wrong details
- Charge-offs and balances
- Medical debt errors
- Duplicate accounts
- Accounts that aren't yours
- Items past the reporting period
- Inquiries you didn't authorize

Why Top Class Credit
Professional, transparent, bilingual
All three bureaus
Equifax, Experian and TransUnion don't share corrections with each other. We review and dispute with each bureau separately so nothing falls through the cracks.
English and Spanish
Understanding your credit rights is hard enough. We explain everything clearly in the language you're most comfortable with.
Your rights, explained
The Fair Credit Reporting Act sets deadlines bureaus must follow. We track them for you and follow up when they're missed.
Honest from day one
We tell you what we can and can't do before you sign anything. No guarantees, no pressure — just a clear plan.
Good to know
What makes up your credit score
Lenders mostly use FICO® scores, and they're built from five things. Knowing the weights shows where your effort pays off fastest.
- 35%
Payment history
Paying on time, every time. A single payment 30+ days late can weigh on your score for years.
- 30%
Amounts owed
How much of your credit limits you use. Keeping card balances under 30% — ideally under 10% — helps quickly.
- 15%
Length of history
The age of your oldest account and the average age of all of them. Think twice before closing old cards.
- 10%
New credit
Several applications in a short time can lower your score. Space them out when you can.
- 10%
Credit mix
Handling different kinds of credit, like cards and installment loans, shows lenders you can manage both.
Weights are FICO's general guidelines; the exact impact depends on your full credit profile.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How long does credit repair take?
It depends on what's in your reports. By law, credit bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute, and many cases take several rounds. We'll give you a realistic picture at your consultation — we don't promise timelines or results.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your situation, and we explain it in writing before you sign anything.
Can you remove collections and late payments?
We dispute collections, late payments and other items that are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. If a bureau can't verify an item, it must correct or delete it. Accurate, timely negative information can't legally be removed by anyone.
Is credit repair legal?
Yes. Disputing inaccurate information is your right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and credit repair companies are regulated by the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
What credit score do I need to buy a home?
It depends on the loan program and lender. Many conventional loans look for scores around 620 or higher, and some FHA programs accept lower scores. A lender can tell you what applies to you.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. Everything we do — consultations, documents, your client portal and messages — is available in English and Spanish.
Can I get help if I have an ITIN?
Yes. We work with many ITIN holders who are building or repairing U.S. credit history.
Will disputing hurt my credit score?
Filing a dispute does not by itself lower your score. How your score changes depends on what the bureaus do with the disputed items and on your overall credit activity.
